Privacy notice
How the MlimiPay website collects and uses personal data, under Malawi's Data Protection Act.
Draft for legal review before launch (requirements §9 and §10).
Who we are

What this website collects
- Enquiry data you type into our forms: your name, phone number, email, district, company details and your message.
- Visit statistics: which pages are viewed, the language and the referring website. We do not store your IP address or set tracking cookies for this.
This website never asks for or shows account numbers, balances, PINs or payment details.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, for partner enquiries, to arrange a demo and follow up about MlimiPrepay.
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
We rely on your request (to answer it) and our legitimate interest in running and improving the website. We do not sell your data.
Who sees it
Only the MlimiPay team that handles your type of enquiry, and service providers that host the website and send email on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. Visit statistics are kept in aggregate. (Retention periods to be confirmed.)
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@mlimipay.com or call .
MlimiPrepay partner customers
On MlimiPrepay, each partner company is responsible for its own farmers' and customers' data. If you are a customer of a MlimiPrepay partner, contact that company about your data. MlimiPay processes that data only to run the platform on the partner's behalf, keeps each partner's data separate, and does not use it for MlimiPay's own sales.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version here.
