| Who chooses products and sets prices | MlimiPay Limited pre-procures and prices inputs | The partner: its own products, prices and stock |
| Where farmers' payments go | To MlimiPay Limited, as the seller | To the partner's own wallet, or swept immediately to the partner's bank |
| Who fulfils and handles refunds | MlimiPay, at MlimiPay collection points | The partner, under its own fulfilment and refund policy |
| Channels | USSD, MlimiPOS (phoneless NFC) and SMS over Airtel Money and TNM Mpamba | The same channels, plus a company portal and reporting |
| How MlimiPay Limited earns | From selling inputs | Monthly subscription and transaction fees |
| Lending or credit | No. Farmers prepay for inputs | No. Customers prepay for inputs that already exist |
Can a farmer use both?
Yes. The same farmer can prepay with MlimiPay and with a MlimiPrepay partner. The two accounts are separate and unlinked: a partner never sees a farmer's MlimiPay activity, and MlimiPay does not use a partner's customer data for its own sales.
